SU-DHL-1 Cell Line

General Information
OrganismHomo sapiens, human
Cell Line Description SU-DHL-1 is a histiocytic cell that was isolated from the lymph node of a White, 10-year-old, male patient with large cell lymphoma. These cells consistently failed to express T or B cell markers, even after they were induced by phorbol ester (TPA), retinoic acid, dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), or heme. The SU-DHL-1 cells lack immunoglobulin gene rearrangements. They demonstrate cytoplasmic acid phosphatase and nonspecific esterase (ANAE) activities, and they can be stained with a monoclonal antibody (MoAb), anti-Leu M5, that normally reacts with monocytes and histiocytes.
