Creative Biogene ensures high-quality lentivirus particles by optimizing and standardizing production protocols and performing stringent quality control (QC). The specific QC experiments performed vary between lentivirus particle lots.
Mycoplasma Creative Biogene routinely tests for mycoplasma contamination using a mycoplasma detection kit. Cell lines are maintained for approximately 20 passages before being discarded and replaced with a new vial of early passage cells. Approximately 2 weeks after thawing, cell culture supernatants are tested for mycoplasma contamination. Creative Biogene ensures that lentiviral products are free of mycoplasma contamination.
Purity Creative Biogene evaluates the level of impurities, such as residual host cell DNA or proteins, in prepared lentiviral vectors to ensure they meet quality standards.
Sterility The lentiviral samples were inoculated into cell culture medium for about 5 days and the growth of bacteria and fungi was tested. Creative Biogene ensures that the lentiviral products are free of microbial contamination.
Transducibility Upon requirement, Creative Biogene can perform in vitro or in vivo transduction assays to evaluate the ability of lentivirus to deliver genetic material into target cells, and assess gene expression and functional activities.
Proviral Identity Confirmation All Creative Biogene lentiviral vectors are confirmed to have correctly integrated provirus using PCR. This test involves transducing cells with serial dilutions of the lentiviral vector, harvesting the cells a few days later, and isolating genomic DNA. This DNA is then used as a template to amplify a portion of the expected lentiviral insert.

Customer Q&As
What applications do Wild-Type Coxsackievirus B6 products have?

A: Wild-Type Coxsackievirus B6 can be used in various scientific applications. They are commonly employed in research studies to investigate the virus's pathogenicity, host-pathogen interactions, vaccine development, antiviral drug screening, and diagnostic assay development.

How is Wild-Type Coxsackievirus B6 preserved and activated?

A: Wild-Type Coxsackievirus B6 products are preserved and activated through specific laboratory protocols. First, the virus is properly stored and preserved using techniques such as freezing at ultra-low temperatures to maintain its viability and prevent degradation. To activate the virus, it is typically propagated in susceptible cell cultures, where it replicates and amplifies. This can be achieved by inoculating the virus onto the desired cell line and allowing it to infect and multiply within the cells. The activated virus can then be harvested from the culture supernatant, purified, and used for various experimental or diagnostic purposes. It is important to note that specific laboratory biosafety measures are followed during these preservation and activation methods to prevent accidental release and ensure safe handling of the virus.

What are the types of Coxsackievirus?

A: Coxsackieviruses are divided into group A and group B viruses based on early observations of their pathogenicity in neonatal mice. At least 23 serotypes (1-22, 24) of group A and six serotypes (1-6) of group B are recognized.

What is the difference between Coxsackievirus Group A and Coxsackievirus Group B?

A: In general, group A coxsackieviruses tend to infect the skin and mucous membranes, causing herpangina, acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis, and hand, foot and mouth disease. Group B coxsackieviruses tend to infect the heart, pleura, pancreas, and liver, causing pleuritic pain, myocarditis, pericarditis, and hepatitis.
