mRNA Identification

The mRNA identification service is an important part of the quality control testing for GMP mRNA production. Creative Biogene's experienced experts offer a variety of mRNA-specific assays to identify and characterize the sequence and integrity of the mRNA produced.

mRNA Identification

mRNA Identification Services

  • mRNA length: capillary electrophoresis
  • mRNA integrity: the integrity of mRNA can be assessed by gel electrophoresis, capillary electrophoresis and other techniques. High quality mRNA samples usually show a clear band of mRNA on the gel, while degraded or fragmented mRNA may appear as multiple bands or smears.
  • mRNA sequencing: sequence validation services ensure that the produced mRNA matches the desired sequence and is an important task in the mRNA quality control process. Technologies used include Sanger sequencing, next generation sequencing or qPCR (quantitative polymerase chain reaction).

Methods and Techniques for mRNA Identification

Creative Biogene utilizes high-end analytical instruments combined with traditional quality control methods to generate validated analytical methods. Our talented scientists are constantly evaluating and improving the best assays and introducing new technologies to ensure fast, accurate, and cost-effective quality control solutions for our clients. Our methods include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Sanger sequencing

Sanger sequencing can be used as a quality control tool for mRNA production to efficiently verify the quality and purity of mRNA production and to help confirm whether the produced mRNA contains other sequence variations. The method provides a fast, simple and scalable workflow for mRNA sequence validation. The sequencing process includes mRNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, PCR amplification, sequencing, and data analysis.

  • Next generation sequencing (NGS)

NGS offers higher throughput and lower cost compared to traditional Sanger sequencing. The steps for quality control of mRNA production using NGS sequencing include, RNA extraction, library preparation, sequencing, data processing and analysis.

  • Capillary electrophoresis/agarose gel electrophoresis

Capillary electrophoresis technique can effectively confirm and control the integrity and purity of mRNA sequences.

Creative Biogene has always been committed to providing high quality mRNA products to our clients. We have developed a series of methods for the quality identification of mRNA stock solutions. Please feel free to contact us if you have a need, and our experienced specialists will be happy to assist you.
