SARS-CoV-2/2019-nCoV Detection Kits
SARS-CoV-2, previously known by the provisional name 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), is the cause of the ongoing 2019–2020 coronavirus outbreak, a Public Health Emergency of International Concern that originated in Wuhan, China. The fact that this disease has caused illness, including illness resulting in death, and sustained person-to-person spread is concerning. The virus has been named “SARS-CoV-2(Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2)” and the disease it causes has been named “coronavirus disease 2019” (abbreviated “COVID-19”). The SARS-CoV-2 virus is a betacoronavirus, like MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV.

The novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2/2019-nCoV is enveloped, positive-sense, single-stranded RNA viruses that belong to the subfamily Coronavirinae, family Coronavirdiae, order Nidovirales. The 2019-nCoV genome is arranged in the order of 5’-replicase (orf1/ab)-structural proteins [Spike (S)-Envelope (E)-Membrane (M)-Nucleocapsid (N)]−3’and lacks the hemagglutinin-esterase gene which is characteristically found in lineage A β-CoVs.
The spike (S) protein of coronaviruses mediates receptor binding and membrane fusion and is crucial for determining host tropism and transmission capacity. Recent studies indicate that ACE2 could be the host receptor for the novel coronavirus 2019-nCoV. Generally, spike glycoprotein is functionally divided into the S1 domain, responsible for receptor binding, and the S2 domain, responsible for cell membrane fusion. Both the N-terminal domain and the C-terminal domain of the S1 domain can bind to host receptors.
Creative Biogene has developed the real-time reverse-transcription-polymerase-chain-reaction (RT-PCR) assay for COVID-19. Creative Biogene provide responsive, flexible, and sensitive portfolio of products to fit every need.

Creative Biogene is the premier institution to provide professional diagnostic products. The final etiology diagnosis of COVID-19 is necessary, which can be further confirmed by positive real-time RT-PCR assay for COVID-19.
