The overexpression of proteins is critical for many applications, including studying the function of the gene, screening activators or inhibitors of the gene and other assay studies. At Creative Biogene, we have developed a large number of GPCR stable cell lines, Ion channel stable cell lines and Reporter stable cell lines. Besides GPCR, Ion channel and reporter cell lines, scientists at Creative Biogene have also investigated and generated recombinant stable cell lines expressing other popular gene targets such as immune checkpoints, Toll-like receptors (TLRs), Cas9, PDEs etc.
Immune checkpoints are proteins which can turn up or turn down signals in the immune system. Inhibitors of immune-checkpoint proteins have been considered as new targets for cancer immunotherapies. To accelerate research progress of immune-checkpoint proteins, we have developed stable cell lines expressing the most popular immune checkpoints.
Toll-like receptors, abbreviated as TLRs, are a group of proteins that play key roles in innate immune system. TLRs can recognize structurally conserved molecules derived from microbes and further activate immune cell responses. Several TLR stable cell lines have been developed at Creative Biogene for studies of TLRs.
The cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases (PDEs) are a family of phosphodiesterases which can hydrolyze nucleoside 3’,5’-cyclic phosphate to nucleoside 5’-phosphate. PDEs play important roles in many cellular signaling pathways by controlling concentrations of cyclic nucleotides. PDE stable cell lines developed by Creative Biogene are useful tools for PDE inhibitor assays.
With the development of CRISPR/Cas9 technology, it is essential to establish Cas9 stable cell lines to increase efficiency of genome editing applications. To meet these needs, we have established Cas9 stable cell lines in some popular host cells.
