This position requires the candidate to build and manage a global product development organization that develops state-of-the-art Cell Culture Media and leading Cell line development and Testing Technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Interact with sales, marketing and operations to build and execute our product development road map.
Build strong expertise in the PD team on Viral vectors and Protein-based therapeutics product development.
Set up the infrastructure to develop and transfer to operations all necessary products and services of the Cell line development, Media and Testing Technologies.
Define methodology and processes, and set up high performing team to execute the development projects.
Have a constant overview of new technological developments and trends in development tools and techniques.
Integrate new techniques into the daily work of the team.
Set up production tests and implement new products into Production Development by defining production methods.
Support assay development, qualification, validation, troubleshooting in a GMP setting.
Identification and promotion of high potentials and talents.
Basic Qualifications:
M.S. or Ph.D. in molecular biology, cellular biology, stem cell biology, biomedical engineering, or related field with experience with biological cellular systems.
Previous experience in biopharmaceutical or related fields where quality, customer needs, flexibility, customization and cost effectiveness play a crucial role.
Demonstrated experience working in cell culture media and cell line development at a senior level.
Extensive experience in working in a development environment with more recent proven experience in a leadership role.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
