| Safety Considerations |
The following safety precautions should be observed. 1. Use pipette aids to prevent ingestion and keep aerosols down to a minimum. 2. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling the stable line. 3. Wash hands after handling the stable line and before leaving the lab. 4. Decontaminate work surface with disinfectant or 70% ethanol before and after working with stable cells. 5. All waste should be considered hazardous. 6. Dispose of all liquid waste after each experiment and treat with bleach. |

HGC-27 is a human gastric carcinoma cell line widely used as an in vitro model for studying gastric cancer biology, tumor progression, drug response, and molecular signaling associated with malignant epithelial cells of the stomach. The cell line is known for its tumor-derived origin and cancer-related phenotypes, making it suitable for investigations into proliferation, survival, migration, invasion, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and therapeutic sensitivity in gastric cancer research. Luciferase Reporter Cell Line - HGC-27 is an engineered derivative of the parental HGC-27 cell line that has been modified to stably express a luciferase reporter gene. Because the luciferase gene is integrated and maintained in the cell population, the cells can generate a reproducible bioluminescent signal after addition of the appropriate luciferase substrate. This stable reporter system provides a convenient, sensitive, and quantitative readout of viable tumor cell burden and cellular activity.
The HGC-27 luciferase reporter cell line is applicable to a wide range of cancer research and drug development processes. In in vitro studies, it facilitates high-throughput or medium-throughput screening of anti-cancer compounds, targeted inhibitors, natural products, biologics, immune-related factors, and combination therapies.
