Q & A

Customer Reviews

Customer Q&As
What is the significance of the Human GPC3 Stable Cell Line - HEK293 in cancer research, particularly in the context of hepatocellular carcinoma?

A: The Human GPC3 Stable Cell Line - HEK293 is engineered to express the Glypican-3 (GPC3) protein, which is overexpressed in various cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma. This cell line serves as a model to study the role of GPC3 in cancer progression, metastasis, and response to therapeutic interventions, contributing to the development of targeted therapies.

How does the Human GPC3 Stable Cell Line - HEK293 differ from other HEK293 cell lines in terms of its utility in drug screening?

A: The Human GPC3 Stable Cell Line - HEK293 is specifically designed to express GPC3, a protein that is not typically expressed in standard HEK293 cells. This makes it a unique tool for high-throughput screening of compounds that modulate GPC3 activity, which could lead to the discovery of new cancer therapeutics.

What are the ethical considerations when using the Human GPC3 Stable Cell Line - HEK293 for research purposes?

A: The use of the Human GPC3 Stable Cell Line - HEK293 must adhere to ethical guidelines that protect human dignity and welfare. This includes obtaining informed consent for the use of human-derived materials, ensuring that the cell line is used solely for research purposes, and following guidelines set by institutional review boards (IRBs) and relevant regulatory bodies.

How can the Human GPC3 Stable Cell Line - HEK293 be used to study the molecular mechanisms of GPC3 regulation?

A: Researchers can utilize the Human GPC3 Stable Cell Line - HEK293 to investigate the molecular pathways involved in GPC3 expression and function. This includes studying the effects of various signaling molecules, transcription factors, and epigenetic modifications on GPC3 regulation.

How does the Human GPC3 Stable Cell Line - HEK293 contribute to the understanding of GPC3's role in cell signaling and cancer biology?

A: By providing a controlled environment to study GPC3 expression and function, the Human GPC3 Stable Cell Line - HEK293 can help researchers investigate the role of GPC3 in cell signaling pathways, its involvement in cancer development, and its potential as a therapeutic target.

What are the key considerations for preserving and reviving the Human GPC3 Stable Cell Line - HEK293?

A: The Human GPC3 Stable Cell Line - HEK293 should be stored in a frozen state at temperatures below -80°C to preserve its stability. For revival, the cells should be thawed rapidly in a water bath at 37°C and then transferred to a culture medium appropriate for HEK293 cells, ensuring that the cells are gradually warmed to room temperature before being placed in a cell culture incubator.
