| Cat. No. | CSC-RO0065 |
| Description | This cell line is a stably transfected cell line which expresses mouse tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, member 9 (Tnfrsf9) without any tag. |
| Background | Homozygous mutation of this gene results in enhanced T cell proliferation, decreased B cell IgG production, decreased cytotoxic T cell activity, and increased numbers of erythrocytes, granulocyte macrophages, and multipotential progenitor cells in the bone marrow, blood, and spleen. |

| Safety Considerations |
The following safety precautions should be observed. 1. Use pipette aids to prevent ingestion and keep aerosols down to a minimum. 2. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling the stable line. 3. Wash hands after handling the stable line and before leaving the lab. 4. Decontaminate work surface with disinfectant or 70% ethanol before and after working with stable cells. 5. All waste should be considered hazardous. 6. Dispose of all liquid waste after each experiment and treat with bleach. |

A: 4-1BB is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor family.
A: Other names for 4-1BB include Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 9 (TNFRSF9), CD137, and Inducible Lymphocyte Activation (ILA).
A: 4-1BB is expressed by activated T cells, but the expression level on CD8 is greater than on CD4 T cells.
A: 4-1BB expression is found on dendritic cells at inflammatory sites, follicular dendritic cells, natural killer cells, granulocytes, and vascular wall cells.
A: Cell surface protein expression can be verified by FACS or WB.
