Ribonuclease T1 (RNase T1) is an endoribonuclease that specifically cleaves RNA or deaminated RNA at the 3′ end of guanosine residues and adjacent nucleotides through a 2′,3′ cyclic phosphate intermediate mechanism. Epicentre"s RNase T1 is cloned from Aspergillus oryzae and overexpressed in E. coli to produce a highly pure enzyme without contaminating DNase or nonspecific RNase activity.

One unit of RNase T1 converts 100 ng of E. coli ribosomal RNA into acid-soluble nucleotides in 5 seconds at 37 °C under standard assay conditions.
