Product Information

Cat. No. EMDT0323
Description Mako DNA Polymerase (3′→ 5′ exo-) catalyzes the extension of a primed DNA template in the 5′→3′ direction. This enzyme lacks any inherent 3′→ 5′ and 5′→ 3′ exonuclease activities and exhibits no measurable strand displacement function.
Source Purified from a strain of E. coli that expresses the recombinant Mako DNA Polymerase (3′→ 5′ exo-) gene.
Concentration 30000 U/ml
Size 3000 Units
Unit Definition One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will incorporate 10 nmol of dNTP into acid-precipitable material in 30 minutes at 37 °C.
Reaction Buffer 500 mM NaCl 100 mM Tris-HCl 100 mM MgCl 210 mM DTT pH 7.9 @ 25 °C

Customer Reviews

Customer Q&As
Does Mako DNA Polymerase have exonuclease activity?

A: Mako DNA Polymerase (3'-5' exo-) does not exhibit exonuclease activity in either the 3' to 5' or 5' to 3' direction and does not have measurable strand displacement activity.

What are the advantages of Mako DNA Polymerase?

A: Mako DNA Polymerase has several advantages, including the highest purity achieved through ultra-purification, the highest quality specifications to ensure product consistency, and no detectable DNA and RNase contamination.

How is 1U defined for Mako DNA Polymerase?

A: The activity of Mako DNA Polymerase is defined as the amount of enzyme required to incorporate 10 nmol of dNTPs into acid-precipitable material in 30 minutes at 37°C.

What is the source of protein for Mako DNA Polymerase?

A: Mako DNA Polymerase is purified from an E. coli strain that expresses the recombinant Mako DNA Polymerase (3'-5' exo-) gene.
