Customer Reviews

The ERBB2 gene (HER2) encodes a transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the epidermal growth factor receptor family. The ERBB2 signaling pathway plays a crucial role in the growth and survival of various epithelial tumors, particularly those with gene amplification. In non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), ERBB2 mutations or amplifications are associated with poor prognosis and resistance to conventional EGFR inhibitors. Constitutive activation of HER2 leads to persistent activation of the Ras/Raf/MAPK and PI3K/Akt pathways, which are major drivers of oncogenic transformation.

A stable human ERBB2 cell line constructed in the A549 context provides a powerful platform for studying the HER2 signaling pathway in lung adenocarcinoma. A549 cells are well-characterized human alveolar epithelial cells widely used in drug screening and oncology research. By stably overexpressing human ERBB2, this cell line allows researchers to analyze how enhanced HER2 activity modulates the metabolic and invasive behavior of lung cancer cells. This product is particularly suitable for high-throughput screening of HER2-targeting tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and for studying acquired resistance mechanisms in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
