Description Psp GBD DNA Polymerase, also called Deep Vent DNA Polymerase, is a high-fidelity thermophilic DNA polymerase. This high fidelity derives in part from an integral 3'→5' proofreading exonuclease activity. Psp GBD DNA Polymerase is more stable than Tli DNA Polymerase at 95°C to 100°C. The half-life of Psp GBD DNA Polymerase is 8 hours at 100°C.
Source Purified from a recombinant E. coli that carries Psp GBD DNA Polymerase gene from Pyrococcus species GB-D.

How is the enzyme activity defined?

A: One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will incorporate 10 nmol of dNTP into acid-insoluble material in 30 minutes at 75°C.

How to prevent liquid evaporation?

A: The heated lid function of the PCR machine can prevent liquid evaporation. If the PCR machine does not have this function, a small amount of paraffin oil can be added to the liquid surface to prevent evaporation.

Can 40 cycles be performed during PCR amplification?

A: It is not recommended to cycle the product more than 20-30 times as the fidelity of the product decreases with increased cycling.

What is the appropriate amount of the enzyme to add when amplifying the target gene in PCR?

A: We recommend adding 2-4 uL Psp GBD DNA polymerase per 100 uL reaction system.
