Gene Information

Cat. No. CSC-RI0196
Description This cell line is engineered to overexpress human TRPM4.
Background The human TRPM4 gene encodes the pore-forming subunit of TRPM4, a non-selective, cation-permeable channel expressed in lymphocytes, heart, vascular smooth muscle, intestine, and prostate. A gain-of-function mutation in TRPM4 is associated with progressive familial heart block type I. TRPM4 channels are therapeutic targets in inflammation and immune disorders.
Target Gene TRPM4
Gene Species Homo sapiens (Human)
Abbr CHO-HuTRPM4
Alias TRPM4, FLJ20041, LTrpC4, hTRPM4, PFHB1B, TRPM4B
Host Cell CHO
Host Cell Species Cricetulus griseus (Chinese hamster)

Safety Considerations The following safety precautions should be observed.
1. Use pipette aids to prevent ingestion and keep aerosols down to a minimum.
2. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling the stable line.
3. Wash hands after handling the stable line and before leaving the lab.
4. Decontaminate work surface with disinfectant or 70% ethanol before and after working with stable cells.
5. All waste should be considered hazardous.
6. Dispose of all liquid waste after each experiment and treat with bleach.
