Gene Information

Cat. No. CSC-RI0193
Description This cell line is engineered to overexpress human TRPC1.
Background The human TRPC1 gene encodes the pore-forming subunit of TRPC1, a non-selective, cation-permeable channel expressed in the CNS, vascular endothelium and smooth muscle, lymphocytes and epithelia. TRPC1 channels are therapeutic targets in pulmonary hypertension, vascular inflammation, heart failure, and keratosis.
Target Gene TRPC1
Gene Species Homo sapiens (Human)
Abbr HEK293-HuTRPC1
Alias TRPC1, HTRP 1, TRP-1, TRP1, HTRP-1, MGC133334, MGC133335
Host Cell HEK293
Host Cell Species Homo sapiens (Human)

Safety Considerations The following safety precautions should be observed.
1. Use pipette aids to prevent ingestion and keep aerosols down to a minimum.
2. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling the stable line.
3. Wash hands after handling the stable line and before leaving the lab.
4. Decontaminate work surface with disinfectant or 70% ethanol before and after working with stable cells.
5. All waste should be considered hazardous.
6. Dispose of all liquid waste after each experiment and treat with bleach.
