Virus Particles Information

Cat. No. RABVH-5
Description Flp-dependent AAV helper co-expressing EGFP and TVA from a single transcript using a T2A self-cleaving peptide under EF1a. EGFP identifies Flp-positive starter neurons, and TVA makes them permissive to EnvA-pseudotyped G-deleted rabies virus. With an RVG helper, the virus moves retrogradely across a single synapse, enabling Flp-specific monosynaptic input tracing.
Product Type Adeno-associated virus
Reporter EGFP
Expression Mechanism Flp-dependent
Helper Function AAV helper co-expressing EGFP and TVA (T2A self-cleaving) under Flp-dependent control
Applications
  1. Co-injection with RV-EnvA-ΔG for Flp-dependent monosynaptic retrograde tracing
  2. EGFP and TVA co-expressed via T2A self-cleaving peptide for bicistronic expression
  3. EGFP reporter for visualization of TVA-expressing starter cells
  4. fDIO restricts expression to Flp+ populations
  5. Mapping direct presynaptic inputs to Flp-defined populations
Promoter Broad-spectrum Promoter
