Cat. No. CSC-RO01309
Description T24-Human-TACSTD2 is engineered to stably overexpress human tumor associated calcium signal transducer 2 (TACSTD2, Trop 2, NM_002353.2). The overexpression of human TACSTD2 has been validated by real-time qPCR and flow cytometry analysis.
Product Type Human gene overexpression stable cell line
Background TACSTD2 is a carcinoma-associated antigen. This antigen is a cell surface receptor that transduces calcium signals. Mutations of TACSTD2 gene have been associated with gelatinous drop-like corneal dystrophy.
Target Gene TACSTD2
Gene Species Homo sapiens (human)
Host Cell T24
Host Cell Species Homo sapiens (Human)
Applications 1) investigation of gene function
2) screening and validation of antibodies
3) anticancer drug development
Size One vial of frozen cells, typically >1x10^6cells/vial
Stability This cell line is stable at least 10 passages.
Quality Control 1) Real-time qPCR analysis of gene mRNA overexpression level
2) Flow cytometry analysis of gene surface overexpression level
3) mycoplasma detection
Storage Liquid nitrogen
Shipping Dry ice
Revival Rapidly thaw cells in a 37°C water bath. Transfer contents into a tube containing pre-warmed media. Centrifuge cells and seed into a 25 cm2 flask containing pre-warmed media.
Growth Properties Adherent
Mycoplasma Negative
Format One frozen vial containing millions of cells
Storage Liquid nitrogen
Safety Considerations The following safety precautions should be observed.
1. Use pipette aids to prevent ingestion and keep aerosols down to a minimum.
2. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling the stable line.
3. Wash hands after handling the stable line and before leaving the lab.
4. Decontaminate work surface with disinfectant or 70% ethanol before and after working with stable cells.
5. All waste should be considered hazardous.
6. Dispose of all liquid waste after each experiment and treat with bleach.

Target Gene TACSTD2
Background This intronless gene encodes a carcinoma-associated antigen. This antigen is a cell surface receptor that transduces calcium signals. Mutations of this gene have been associated with gelatinous drop-like corneal dystrophy.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2009]
