The following safety precautions should be observed. 1. Use pipette aids to prevent ingestion and keep aerosols down to a minimum. 2. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling the stable line. 3. Wash hands after handling the stable line and before leaving the lab. 4. Decontaminate work surface with disinfectant or 70% ethanol before and after working with stable cells. 5. All waste should be considered hazardous. 6. Dispose of all liquid waste after each experiment and treat with bleach. |

Mouse Xcr1 encodes the murine ortholog of the chemokine receptor associated with cross-presenting dendritic cells. Its activation by Xcl1 and Xcl2 initiates Gi/o-linked pathways that support chemotactic responses and immune-cell communication, making receptor abundance and cellular context important determinants of experimental response. This product is a stable CHO-K1 cell line engineered to maintain elevated expression of mouse Xcr1. This cell line is egineered to stably overexpress mouse Xcr1 with no tag. Overexpression of mouse Xcr1 has been validated through real-time QPCR and FACS. CHO-K1 cells offer robust growth, a comparatively low endogenous background for many human receptors, and a long history of use in pharmacology and screening. Stable integration reduces the experiment-to-experiment variability associated with transient transfection and supports repeated use across assay campaigns.
Functionally, the line is intended to provide consistent access to mouse Xcr1-dependent biology. It is particularly suitable for species-specific ligand studies, antibody binding, receptor pharmacology, migration-related assays, and translational comparison of murine and human XCR1 biology in immunology and vaccine research. As a defined receptor-overexpression model, the cell line complements primary cells and tissue-derived systems by isolating target-dependent signaling from the complexity of mixed receptor populations. Its stable phenotype supports comparative pharmacology across compound series, biologic formats, and repeated screening campaigns, while preserving the same host-cell background for mechanistic interpretation. The model also provides a consistent framework for linking receptor occupancy to proximal signaling, receptor trafficking, and downstream cellular responses relevant to target validation and drug discovery.
