Description

The TEV Activity Assay Kit provides a convenient method for detecting TEV (Tobacco Etch Virus) Protease activity. TEV protease recognizes specific sequence Glu-Asn-Leu-Tyr-Phe-Gln-Gly and cleaves between Gln and Gly, and is widely used for tag removal of fusion proteins. The TEV activity assay is based on the ability of TEV Protease to cleave a synthetic Fluorescein-based peptide substrate to release fluorescein which can be easily quantified using a fluorescence microplate reader at Ex/Em = 490/520 nm

Applications

Useful for detecting the activity of TEV protease and screening/characterizing the potential inhibitors of TEV.
