Virus Particles Information

Cat. No. RABVH-1
Description Flp-dependent AAV helper expressing a TVA-tdTomato fusion under EF1a. The TVA receptor permits entry of EnvA-pseudotyped, G-deleted rabies virus exclusively into Flp-expressing neurons, while tdTomato marks these starter cells in red. Co-injection with an RVG helper allows the virus to cross one synapse retrogradely, enabling Flp-defined monosynaptic input mapping.
Product Type Adeno-associated virus
Reporter Tomato
Expression Mechanism Flp-dependent
Helper Function AAV helper expressing TVA receptor and tdTomato under Flp-dependent control
Applications
  1. Co-injection with RV-EnvA-ΔG (EnvA-pseudotyped rabies virus) for Flp-dependent monosynaptic retrograde tracing
  2. Provides TVA receptor for initial cellular entry of EnvA-pseudotyped rabies virus
  3. tdTomato reporter visualizes TVA-expressing starter cells
  4. fDIO (Flp-dependent) restricts TVA expression to Flp+ cell populations
  5. Mapping direct presynaptic inputs to Flp-defined starter populations
  6. Used in intersectional strategies combining Flp with Cre
