Virus Particles Information

Cat. No. RABVH-16
Description Cre-dependent AAV helper expressing TVA alone under EF1a, without a fluorescent reporter. After Cre recombination, targeted neurons become permissive to EnvA-pseudotyped G-deleted rabies virus, allowing strict Cre-dependent initiation of retrograde monosynaptic tracing. The reporter-free design leaves all fluorescence channels available for the rabies tracer and other circuit-labelling reagents.
Product Type Adeno-associated virus
Expression Mechanism Cre-dependent
Helper Function AAV helper expressing TVA under Cre-dependent control (no reporter)
Applications
  1. Co-injection with RV-EnvA-ΔG-mCherry/EGFP/tdTomato for Cre-dependent monosynaptic retrograde tracing
  2. DIO restricts TVA expression to Cre+ populations
  3. No fluorescent reporter — starter cell visualization provided by rabies virus reporter
  4. Useful when Cre-driver and RV-reporter are sufficient for starter cell identification
  5. Mapping direct presynaptic inputs to Cre-defined populations
Promoter Broad-spectrum Promoter
Size Custom
Storage Store at -80℃. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
