Mouse Ccr8 encodes the murine CC chemokine receptor associated with selected T-cell and innate immune populations. Its activation by Ccl1 initiates Gi/o-linked signaling that can regulate migration, calcium responses, and immune-cell positioning, making receptor abundance and cellular context important determinants of experimental response. This product is a stable HEK293T cell line engineered to maintain elevated expression of mouse Ccr8. This cell line is engineered to stably overexpress Mouse Ccr8 in HEK293T cells. HEK293T cells combine a human cellular background with high transfection efficiency and convenient propagation, making them useful for follow-on genetic manipulation and assay development. Stable integration reduces the experiment-to-experiment variability associated with transient transfection and supports repeated use across assay campaigns.
Functionally, the line is intended to provide consistent access to mouse Ccr8-dependent biology. It is particularly suitable for murine ligand-response profiling, antibody validation, antagonist or agonist screening, signaling assay development, and preclinical research on allergy, inflammation, regulatory T cells, and tumor immunity. As a defined receptor-overexpression model, the cell line complements primary cells and tissue-derived systems by isolating target-dependent signaling from the complexity of mixed receptor populations. Its stable phenotype supports comparative pharmacology across compound series, biologic formats, and repeated screening campaigns, while preserving the same host-cell background for mechanistic interpretation. Receptor-focused datasets generated with this line can clarify ligand potency, efficacy, selectivity, desensitization, and internalization within a single cellular context. The platform is also relevant to comparative studies of small molecules, peptides, antibodies, and other biologic modulators directed at the same signaling axis.

This cell line provided a convenient system for investigating mouse Ccr8 without requiring repeated transfection. The cells adapted smoothly to our culture procedures and supported reproducible assay workflows. We found it especially useful for preliminary ligand testing and the functional characterization of Ccr8-targeting research compounds.
