The Monkey IL3RA (Interleukin 3 Receptor Alpha) gene encodes a protein that is part of the receptor for interleukin-3 (IL-3), a cytokine that plays a crucial role in the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. IL3RA is expressed on the surface of various immune cells, including mast cells and early hematopoietic progenitors. The HEK293T cell line has been engineered to stably express the Monkey IL3RA gene. This stable cell line provides a model for studying the role of IL3RA in immune cell function and its potential as a therapeutic target. Researchers can use this cell line to investigate the signaling pathways activated by IL-3 binding to its receptor, the role of IL3RA in immune responses, and the development of drugs that modulate IL3RA activity.
Monkey IL3RA Stable Cell Line - HEK293T is a genetically engineered cell line that stably expresses the interleukin-3 receptor alpha chain (IL3RA) from monkeys. This cell line could be particularly useful in comparative immunology studies, drug discovery, and understanding disease mechanisms where IL3RA plays a critical role. (1) Comparative Immunology and Evolutionary Studies: Research on the Monkey IL3RA Stable Cell Line - HEK293T could provide insights into the evolutionary aspects of the immune system between humans and monkeys. By studying the functional differences and similarities of the IL3RA between species, researchers can gain a better understanding of how immune responses have adapted over time. This could lead to discoveries about species-specific immune mechanisms and potentially identify new targets for immunotherapy. (2) Drug Discovery and Development: The cell line could be used in the screening of new drugs targeting the IL3 pathway, which is involved in cell growth, survival, and differentiation. By using this cell line in high-throughput screening assays, researchers can identify compounds that modulate IL3RA signaling, which may have therapeutic potential in treating diseases such as leukemia, where the IL3 pathway is often dysregulated. This could facilitate the development of more effective treatments for hematological malignancies. (3) Disease Model for Hematological Disorders: Given the role of IL3RA in hematopoiesis, the Monkey IL3RA Stable Cell Line - HEK293T could serve as a model to study hematological disorders. By manipulating the IL3RA expression or by introducing mutations, researchers can mimic disease states in vitro, allowing for the study of disease mechanisms and the testing of therapeutic interventions. This could be particularly valuable for understanding disorders where IL3RA signaling is implicated, offering a platform for translational research aimed at discovering new treatments.
Customer Q&As
How is the stable expression of the IL3RA gene achieved in the Monkey IL3RA Stable Cell Line - HEK293T?

A: The stable expression of the IL3RA gene in the Monkey IL3RA Stable Cell Line - HEK293T is achieved by cloning the IL3RA gene's encoding sequence into an appropriate expression vector and introducing it into HEK293T cells using viral-mediated transfection techniques.
