Product Information

Cat. No. QSTC-02
Description This Two Step qRT-PCR Kit (With ROX) has all the components required for Real-Time qRT-PCR. In the reverse transcription reaction, it is much more easier to obtain the full-length cDNA. This kit also has high reverse transcription efficiency and high affinity which can be applied to RT reaction for small amount of RNA template and GC-rich template or template of complicated secondary structure. The SYBR Green I can combine with all the dsDNA and can be applied to the detection of many kinds of target sequence. The kit can be applied to a wide linear range and can exactly quantitate the target gene requiring normalization with ROX.
Sample Type DNA
Report Gene SYBR and two tube reaction with ROX
Features •Unique reverse transcriptase: high affinity to RNA and high compatibility with the downstream qPCR
•High sensitivity: especially for low abundance expression gene samples

Q & A

Customer Reviews

Customer Q&As
Why is SYBR Green useful in real time PCR?

A: Because SYBR green only binds to double-stranded DNA molecules and not to single-stranded DNA molecules, PCR product concentration can be recorded at each cycle, resulting in real-time amplification curves suitable for automated threshold analysis and quantification.

Is SYBR Green light sensitive?

A: SYBR Green I dye (present in the master mix) is photosensitive. Solutions containing master mixes should be protected from light as much as possible.

What is the wavelength of Rox fluorophore?

A: ROX (carboxy-X-rhodamine) is a fluorescent compound with an excitation peak at 578 nm and an emission peak at 604 nm.
