| Description | Lipid A is a lipid component of an endotoxin held responsible for the toxicity of gram-negative bacteria. It is the innermost of the three regions of the lipopolysaccharide (LPS), also called endotoxin molecule, and its hydrophobic nature allows it to anchor the LPS to the outer membrane. Lipid A (and LPS) has been demonstrated to activate cells via Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), MD-2 and CD14 on the cell surface. They are being developed as drugs for the treatment of excessive inflammatory responses to infections with gram-negative bacteria. |

A: We recommend diluting the toxin before use and maintaining a sterile condition. The optimal concentration depends on cell type, species, activation, and analysis, ranging from 0.01 to 1.0 ug/ml, and it does not activate any TLR except TLR4 in relevant biological systems.
A: Upon receiving Hycult Biotech's Lipid A from Escherichia coli, serotype R515 (Re), 1 mg product, we suggest storing it at -4°C, avoiding freezing, and the product can be stored for at least one year.
