Gene Information

Cat. No. CSC-RO0291
Description This cell line is generated by transduction of human angiotensin I converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) into NIH3T3 cells, followed by stable cell selection. NIH3T3 cell line is derived from mouse embryonic fibroblasts. NIH3T3-human ACE2 cell line is an ideal cell model for in vitro screening and characterization of potential drugs against SARS-CoV, SARS-Cov2 (2019-nCoV).
Target Gene ACE2
Gene Species Homo sapiens (Human)
Host Cell NIH3T3

Safety Considerations The following safety precautions should be observed.
1. Use pipette aids to prevent ingestion and keep aerosols down to a minimum.
2. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling the stable line.
3. Wash hands after handling the stable line and before leaving the lab.
4. Decontaminate work surface with disinfectant or 70% ethanol before and after working with stable cells.
5. All waste should be considered hazardous.
6. Dispose of all liquid waste after each experiment and treat with bleach.
