A: CviJI is stored in a buffer containing 20 mM potassium glycyl-glycine (pH 8.5), 10 mM magnesium acetate, 50 mM potassium acetate, and 0.1 mM dithiothreitol. It is best stored at -80°C upon receipt.
A: CviJI can be incubated at 37°C in a 25 μl reaction volume for 1 hour to complete the reaction.
A: The optimal reaction temperature for CviJI is 37°C, and if you need to inactivate it, incubate at 65°C for 10 minutes to achieve inactivation.
A: CviJI cleaves only at PuGCPy sites and is suitable for high-resolution mapping of short DNA samples or small plasmids.
A: CviJI is useful for novel research and applications such as shotgun cloning, hot-start PCR, and epitope mapping.
A: CviJI is the only restriction endonuclease that recognizes two three-base pair sequences.
A: In addition to CviJI, the product includes 10X CviJI Reaction Buffer and separate 100% DMSO. It is available in 400 units and 100 units packaging sizes.
