A: 3' OMe refers to the 3' end modification of a nucleic acid molecule, typically RNA, with a methyl group (-CH3) at the 3' hydroxyl (-OH) position of the ribose sugar.
A: This is accomplished through a chemical synthesis method called solid-phase synthesis, where the 3' end of the RNA is modified with a 3'-O-levulinyl protecting group during oligonucleotide synthesis. After the RNA synthesis is completed, the 3'-O-levulinyl protecting group is removed, exposing the 3'-OH group, which can then be methylated using a methylating agent such as iodomethane.

Great kit. T7 Cap1 (3' OMe) mRNA Synthesis Kit can produce large amounts of Cap 1- and N1-Methylpseudouridine-modified (m)RNA via in vitro transcription with T7 RNA polymerase.
The resulting 5’-capped (m)RNA can subsequently be used for microinjection, transfection or in vitro translation experiments. All-in-One T7 Cap1 (3' OMe) mRNA Synthesis Kit makes the operation more convenient.
