Description

The TGFB1 mRNA encodes the human transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGFB1) protein, a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta superfamily. TGFB1 can regulate cell proliferation, differentiation and growth, and also play a role in modulating expression and activation of other growth factors including interferon gamma and tumor necrosis factor alpha.
