Q & A

Customer Reviews

Customer Q&As
What is XIAP?

A: The X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein (XIAP) is a newly identified major member of the IAP family.

What is the role of XIAP?

A: XIAP is the most potent inhibitor of apoptosis in the IAP family, directly inhibiting caspases and regulating apoptosis in multiple ways.

What is the relationship between XIAP and tumours?

A:  XIAP gene is overexpressed in most tumour cell lines and its expression is closely associated with tumour progression, recurrence, prognosis and resistance to tumour chemotherapy.

What is the composition of the XIAP gene?

A: The human XIAP is a relatively typical IAPs, consisting of three BIR structural domains and three RING structures.
