A: The Madin-Darby Canine Kidney (MDCK) cell line is widely used as epithelial cell model. MDCK cells are often used in various cell biological studies, including apico-basolateral polarity, cell junctions and in vitro growth rate. It is one of the few cell culture models suitable for 3D cell culture and branching morphogenesis.
A: HCP analysis is a test to determine the concentration of host cell proteins in samples from downstream purification and drug substance.
A: The MDCK cell line was derived from a kidney of an apparently normal adult female cocker spaniel, September, 1958, by S.H. Madin and N.B. Darby.
