Description The Rice CRISPR/Cas9 Genome Editing Kit is a highly effective and universal gene editing kit. It is intended for Agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation. The CRISPR construct contains a sgRNA expression cassette driven by OsU6 promoter, and a codon optimized Cas9 expression cassette driven by ubiquitin promoter. The Rice CRISPR/Cas9 Genome Editing Kit is applicable to modify genes in almost all kinds of monocots, especially in rice.
Efficiency Cas9 expression cassette and sgRNA expression cassette are combined into one vector which offers a higher transformation efficiency.

Why did my CRISPR plant construct did not produce the expected target cleavage?

A: Not every sgRNA will produce the target cleavage. It is recommended to use two to three sgRNAs per gene to increase the successful rate.

A: Kanamycin.

Worked Very Well

This kit makes the system much simpler than other engineering nuclease systems. We have successfully knocked out a variety of rice genes, such as plant ene desaturase gene (OsPDS), betaine aldehyde dehydrogenase (OsBADH2), and mitogen-activated protein kinase (OsMPK2).
