5637 is a human urinary bladder carcinoma cell line established from a grade II transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder. It is one of the most extensively characterized bladder cancer cell lines and has been widely used in studies of urothelial tumor biology, oncogenic signaling, tumor progression, and therapeutic response. The 5637 cell line exhibits epithelial morphology and possesses molecular features representative of intermediate-grade urothelial carcinoma, making it a valuable model for investigating mechanisms of bladder cancer development and disease progression. The GFP/Luc Reporter Cell Line - 5637 is generated through stable transduction of green fluorescent protein (GFP) and firefly luciferase (Luc) reporter genes into parental 5637 cells. This dual-reporter system enables real-time fluorescence imaging and highly sensitive bioluminescence detection while maintaining the biological characteristics, proliferative capacity, and tumorigenic potential of the original cell line.
