Human LMX1A mRNA

For research use only. Not intended for any clinical use.
Cat.No.
PMRN-0042
Description
The LMX1A mRNA encodes the human LIM homeobox transcription factor 1 alpha (LMX1A) protein, a homeodomain and LIM-domain containing protein. LMX1A is a transcription factor that acts as a positive regulator of insulin gene transcription. It also plays a role in the development of dopamine producing neurons during embryogenesis.

Q & A

Customer Reviews

Customer Q&As
What is the role of The LMX1A mRNA in insulin gene transcription?

A: LMX1A mRNA encodes human LIM cis-transcription factor 1α (LMX1A) protein, a transcription factor that acts as a positive regulator of insulin gene transcription. Promotes the expression of islet genes.

What is the function of LMX1A mRNA during embryonic development?

A: The LMX1A gene plays a role in the development of dopamine-producing neurons during embryonic development.

Is the LMX1A gene associated with congenital scoliosis?

A: Lmx1a and Lmx1b expression is present in mature dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra densa and ventral tegmental area. SNPs in the LMX1A gene may be associated with susceptibility to congenital scoliosis and different clinical phenotypes in the Chinese Han population.

Is LMX1A methylated in cervical adenocarcinoma?

A: At the metastatic stage of official precancer, LMX1A was less methylation in cervical adenocarcinoma compared with controls. The higher expression was associated with more advanced tumor stage in Chinese patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
