Human CD70 mRNA

For research use only. Not intended for any clinical use.
Cat.No.
PMRN-0171
Description
The CD70 mRNA encodes the human CD70 molecule (CD70) protein, a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. CD70 induces proliferation of costimulated T cells, enhances the generation of cytolytic T cells, and contributes to T cell activation. It is also reported to play a role in regulating B-cell activation, cytotoxic function of natural killer cells, and immunoglobulin sythesis.

Q & A

Customer Reviews

Customer Q&As
What is the function of human CD70 mRNA?

A: The CD70 mRNA encodes the human CD70 molecule (CD70) protein, a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. CD70 induces proliferation of costimulated T cells, enhances the generation of cytolytic T cells, and contributes to T cell activation.

What biological activities are human CD70 mRNAs involved in?

A: The CD70 mRNA has been reported to play a role in regulating B-cell activation, cytotoxic function of natural killer cells, and immunoglobulin synthesis.

Is CD70 upregulated in dendritic cells?

A: The CD70 is a unique ligand for CD27 that is tightly controlled and upregulated only upon activation of certain subpopulations of T cells, B cells and dendritic cells (DCs).

What is the difference between CD70-positive and CD70-negative cells?

A: CD70-positive cells show an increased signal in the cell viability assay compared to CD70-negative cells. The assay uses the reducing ability of live cells to quantitatively measure cell proliferation.
