SU-DHL-1 is a histiocyte isolated from the lymph node of a 10-year-old Caucasian male patient with large cell lymphoma. Interestingly, their ability to phagocytose C. albicans and latex particles makes them important in the study of cellular immunity. These cells were reported to be very weakly E-rosette positive. This means they bind weakly to red blood cells, a process common in T lymphocytes. GFP/Luc Reporter Cell Line - SU-DHL-1 is a scientifically engineered cell line widely used in biological and medical research. The SU-DHL-1 cell line has been modified to express GFP (green fluorescent protein) and luciferase (Luc). GFP is a protein that exhibits bright green fluorescence when exposed to light in the blue to ultraviolet range. Its expression provides an efficient method to monitor spatial patterns of gene expression and protein localization in real time, making it an important tool in cellular and molecular biology research. Luciferase acts as a reporter gene, allowing researchers to non-invasively visualize and monitor biological processes within living cells. It helps measure transcriptional activity in cell lines, providing valuable insights into gene function and the impact of various pharmaceutical compounds on this process.
The GFP/Luc reporter cell line - SU-DHL-1 has several important applications, primarily in research and investigations related to cancer immunotherapy, oncology, and cell biology. 1) Oncology Research: The SU-DHL-1 cell line is derived from diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and provides an important model for studying this specific type of cancer. GFP/Luc expression enables visualization and tracking of cells, providing valuable insights into tumor behavior, growth, and metastasis. 2) Drug testing: The SU-DHL-1 cell line can be used as a high-throughput screening system for potential cancer therapies. They can be used to test how effective certain drugs are at inhibiting or killing cancer cells. 3) Immunotherapy monitoring: In the field of cancer immunotherapy, the GFP/Luc reporter gene SU-DHL-1 cell line can help researchers track cell responses to immune intervention. Expression of GFP/luciferase can be used as a marker to assess cell viability and therapeutic effectiveness. 4) Metabolic research: The luciferase gene can help understand the metabolic status of cells by analyzing luciferin bioluminescence intensity. This gene is commonly used in luciferase reporter assays to study gene expression and cellular events.

High-quality product

We integrated the SU-DHL-1 GFP/Luc reporter cell line into our tumor progression studies, and the results have been outstanding. The GFP allowed us to track cell proliferation and migration with fluorescence microscopy, while the luciferase offered a convenient way to measure cell viability in animal models.
