A: 2'-Deoxythymidine 5'-triphosphate (or dTTP) is an integral structural part of an organism's genome. It is involved in the synthesis of DNA and contributes to the function of genetic material. It is integrated into the DNA structure during DNA replication.
A: dNTP has 3ʹ-OH, while ddNTPs lack 3ʹ-OH. So, this is the main difference between dNTP and ddNTP. In addition, dNTPs can synthesize DNA strands, while ddNTPs can terminate DNA polymerization.
A: ddNTP is dideoxy Nucleotide tri-phosphate. They are used as chain terminators in Sanger sequencing. In PCR technology, dNTPs are used, not ddNTPs.
A: dNTP stands for deoxyribonucleotide triphosphate. Each dNTP consists of a phosphate group, a deoxyribose sugar, and a nitrogenous base.
