Description

The Plasmid SE 96 Kit provides a simple and economic method for plasmid DNA purification. Overnight cultures are harvested by centrifugation and subjected to alkaline lysis. The Lysate Clearance Plate replaces the time-consuming centrifugation step involved in clearing of bacterial alkaline lysates. Isopropanol is added to filtered lysates to precipitate DNA. The DNA pellet is washed with 70% ethanol, and let to air dry.
