Gene Information

Cat. No. OE-PNDC000326
Description Human TRPM2 nanodisc contains full length human TRPM2 protein that is produced from HEK293 cells. Our nanodisc platform employs the mammalian expression system, which ensures that the Human TRPM2 protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications, while maintaining exceptional solubility and stability. This nanodisc is an optimal tool for investigating the Human TRPM2 membrane protein.
Gene Abbr TRPM2
Gene Name TRPM2
Species Human
Gene Species Human
Tag C-Flag tag and Strep Tag
Features 1) Full-length membrane protein
2) Utilizing a mammalian expression system to ensure that the protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications
3) Maintaining the native spatial conformation and activity of the membrane protein
4) Possessing high solubility and stability

Target Gene TRPM2
Background The protein encoded by this gene forms a tetrameric cation channel that is permeable to calcium, sodium, and potassium and is regulated by free intracellular ADP-ribose. The encoded protein is activated by oxidative stress and confers susceptibility to cell death. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct protein isoforms. Additional transcript variants of this gene have been described, but their full-length nature is not known. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]
