| Description | Human TRPM1 nanodisc contains full length human TRPM1 protein that is produced from HEK293 cells. Our nanodisc platform employs the mammalian expression system, which ensures that the Human TRPM1 protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications, while maintaining exceptional solubility and stability. This nanodisc is an optimal tool for investigating the Human TRPM1 membrane protein. |

| Features |
1) Full-length membrane protein 2) Utilizing a mammalian expression system to ensure that the protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications 3) Maintaining the native spatial conformation and activity of the membrane protein 4) Possessing high solubility and stability 5) High purity determined by HPLC 6) No detergents need to be added in subsequent experiments, and it can be directly applied to cytological analysis |
| Applications |
1) Studying protein structure and function: Understanding the structure and activity of membrane proteins in a native-like environment. 2) Studying protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions: Analyzing how membrane proteins interact with other molecules, such as antibodies or other proteins. 3) Drug discovery: Identifying and characterizing potential drug candidates that target membrane proteins. 4) Developing antibodies: Screening and characterizing antibodies that bind to membrane proteins. |

| Background | This gene encodes a member of the transient receptor potential melastatin subfamily of transient receptor potential ion channels. The encoded protein is a calcium permeable cation channel that is expressed in melanocytes and may play a role in melanin synthesis. Specific mutations in this gene are the cause autosomal recessive complete congenital stationary night blindness-1C. The expression of this protein is inversely correlated with melanoma aggressiveness and as such it is used as a prognostic marker for melanoma metastasis. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011] |
