| Description | Human GABBR2 nanodisc contains full length human GABBR2 protein that is produced from HEK293 cells. Our nanodisc platform employs the mammalian expression system, which ensures that the Human GABBR2 protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications, while maintaining exceptional solubility and stability. This nanodisc is an optimal tool for investigating the Human GABBR2 membrane protein. |

| Features |
1) Full-length membrane protein 2) Utilizing a mammalian expression system to ensure that the protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications 3) Maintaining the native spatial conformation and activity of the membrane protein 4) Possessing high solubility and stability 5) High purity determined by HPLC 6) No detergents need to be added in subsequent experiments, and it can be directly applied to cytological analysis |
| Applications |
1) Studying protein structure and function: Understanding the structure and activity of membrane proteins in a native-like environment. 2) Studying protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions: Analyzing how membrane proteins interact with other molecules, such as antibodies or other proteins. 3) Drug discovery: Identifying and characterizing potential drug candidates that target membrane proteins. 4) Developing antibodies: Screening and characterizing antibodies that bind to membrane proteins. |

| Background | The multi-pass membrane protein encoded by this gene belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 3 family and GABA-B receptor subfamily. The GABA-B receptors inhibit neuronal activity through G protein-coupled second-messenger systems, which regulate the release of neurotransmitters, and the activity of ion channels and adenylyl cyclase. This receptor subunit forms an active heterodimeric complex with GABA-B receptor subunit 1, neither of which is effective on its own. Allelic variants of this gene have been associated with nicotine dependence.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2010] |
