Safety Considerations

The following safety precautions should be observed.

1. Use pipette aids to prevent ingestion and keep aerosols down to a minimum.

2. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling the stable line.

3. Wash hands after handling the stable line and before leaving the lab.

4. Decontaminate work surface with disinfectant or 70% ethanol before and after working with stable cells.

5. All waste should be considered hazardous.

6. Dispose of all liquid waste after each experiment and treat with bleach.

Q & A

Customer Reviews

The CCKBR gene encodes the cholecystokinin B receptor, a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) with high affinity for both gastrin and cholecystokinin. CCKBR is primarily expressed in the central nervous system and gastric mucosa, stimulating gastric acid secretion. Clinically, CCKBR is frequently overexpressed in various malignancies, including small cell lung cancer and medullary thyroid carcinoma. Its overactivation can promote tumor cell survival by activating the MAPK/ERK and PI3K/Akt signaling pathways. CCKBR is also currently being investigated as a target for radionuclide therapy of neuroendocrine tumors.

A stable human CCKBR cell line in the HEK293 context is an ideal model for studying the molecular pharmacology of the gastrin receptor. HEK293 cells provide a standardized environment for studying GPCR signaling and receptor-ligand interactions. By providing a stable platform for human CCKBR expression, this cell line allows researchers to precisely quantify the binding kinetics of various peptide ligands and evaluate the functional activity of novel antagonists. This product is of invaluable value for high-throughput screening of CCKBR modulators and for validating the specificity of next-generation imaging agents.
