The following safety precautions should be observed. 1. Use pipette aids to prevent ingestion and keep aerosols down to a minimum. 2. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling the stable line. 3. Wash hands after handling the stable line and before leaving the lab. 4. Decontaminate work surface with disinfectant or 70% ethanol before and after working with stable cells. 5. All waste should be considered hazardous. 6. Dispose of all liquid waste after each experiment and treat with bleach. |

U14 is a murine cervical squamous carcinoma cell line that has been extensively used in tumor biology, immuno-oncology, and preclinical therapeutic studies. Originally established from a spontaneous cervical carcinoma in mice, U14 cells exhibit robust tumorigenicity and can readily form tumors in syngeneic mouse models, making them particularly valuable for evaluating anti-cancer therapies in immunocompetent hosts. The GFP/Luc Reporter Cell Line - U14 is generated through stable introduction of green fluorescent protein (GFP) and firefly luciferase (Luc) reporter genes into U14 cells. This dual-reporter system enables sensitive fluorescence detection and quantitative bioluminescence imaging while preserving the growth characteristics and tumor-forming capacity of the parental U14 cell line. The combined reporter expression facilitates real-time visualization and longitudinal monitoring of tumor cells in both in vitro and in vivo experimental settings.
