NCI-H1993 is a human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell line established from a metastatic lymph node lesion of a patient with lung adenocarcinoma. The cell line is characterized by amplification of the MET proto-oncogene, resulting in constitutive activation of MET signaling pathways that contribute to tumor proliferation, survival, migration, and invasion. Owing to its MET-dependent phenotype, NCI-H1993 has become a widely used model for investigating oncogenic MET signaling and for evaluating targeted therapies against MET-driven malignancies. The GFP/Luc Reporter Cell Line - NCI-H1993 is generated through stable genetic modification to co-express green fluorescent protein (GFP) and firefly luciferase (Luc) reporter genes.
