Description The FGF22 mRNA encodes the human fibroblast growth factor 22 (FGF22) protein, a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF22 plays a role in the fasting response, glucose homeostasis, lipolysis and lipogenesis. It also can stimulate cell proliferation (in vitro) and may be involved in hair development.
