HHV-1 UL48 mRNA

For research use only. Not intended for any clinical use.
Cat.No.
PMRN-0032
Description
UL48 is a tanscriptional activator of immediate-early (IE) gene products (alpha genes). It acts as a key activator of lytic infection by initiating the lytic program through the assembly of the transcriptional regulatory VP16-induced complex composed of VP16 and two cellular factors, HCFC1 and POU2F 1.
Features
• mRNA synthesized on error free sequence verified plasmid DNA template
• 100% replacement of UTP with modified nucleotides 5-Methoxy-UTP
• Cap 1 Capping and poly-A tailed incorporated
• Degrades the DNA template after RNA synthesis with DNase

Customer Q&As
What is the role of UL48 mRNA in early transcription?

A: UL48 is a tanscriptional activator of immediate-early (IE) gene products (alpha genes).

What is the function of UL48 mRNA?

A: It acts as a key activator of lytic infection by initiating the lytic program through the assembly of the transcriptional regulatory VP16-induced complex composed of VP16 and two cellular factors, HCFC1 and POU2F 1.

Which site of the infectious viral particle is the primary site of influence of the UL48 tegument protein?

A: According to antiserum labeling results from literature studies, the UL48 protein is involved in linking the capsid and future envelope-associated capsid proteins during viral particle formation. It mainly affects the intracytoplasmic assembly site.

Save Sample

Very little sample material is required. Only a small amount of UL48 mRNA needs to be injected into 3 mice and a set of p-parallel experiments can be done to observe significant experimental results with a small margin of error in the data.
