Description This cell line is engineered to stably express GFP-Actin fusion gene in HT22 cells.

Applications This cell line stably expresses fluorescent GFP fused to actin, enabling real-time, live-cell visualization of actin cytoskeleton dynamics without cell fixation or permeabilization.
  1. Cytoskeleton morphology research

    Track actin filament assembly/disassembly, stress fiber formation, lamellipodia, filopodia and podosome structure under normal or stimulated conditions.

  2. Cell migration & invasion assays

    Quantify dynamic actin remodeling at leading edges; evaluate how drugs, cytokines or gene manipulations alter cell motility and metastatic capacity.

  3. Cell adhesion study

    Monitor actin rearrangement during focal adhesion assembly and cell spreading on different extracellular matrix substrates.

  4. Drug screening for cytoskeleton-targeting compounds

    High-throughput live-cell imaging to screen small molecules that modulate actin polymerization, cytoskeletal stability or cell movement.

  5. Mechanobiology analysis

    Detect actin cytoskeleton responses to mechanical stimuli like shear flow, substrate stiffness or stretching force.

Revival Rapidly thaw cells in a 37°C water bath. Transfer contents into a tube containing pre-warmed media. Centrifuge cells and seed into a 25 cm2 flask containing pre-warmed media.

Safety Considerations The following safety precautions should be observed.
1. Use pipette aids to prevent ingestion and keep aerosols down to a minimum.
2. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling the stable line.
3. Wash hands after handling the stable line and before leaving the lab.
4. Decontaminate work surface with disinfectant or 70% ethanol before and after working with stable cells.
5. All waste should be considered hazardous.
6. Dispose of all liquid waste after each experiment and treat with bleach.
