Description

Measles virus (MeV) is an enveloped, negative-sense, ssRNA virus which is a potential oncolytic vector platform. Human solute carrier family 5 member 5 (SLC5A5) is a member of the sodium glucose cotransporter family which is responsible for the uptake of iodine. In this virus, the nucleotide sequence of human solute carrier family 5 member 5 (SLC5A5) was integrated into the MeV genome. This virus can be used for in vitro cancer cell killing assays or in vivo animal cancer treatment tests.
