Description Measles virus (MeV) is an enveloped, negative-sense, ssRNA virus which has the ability to cause cancer cell lysis. Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is a tumor marker which is high expressed in some types of cancer. In this virus, the nucleotide sequence of human CEA was engineered into the MeV genome. This virus can be used for in vitro cancer cell killing assays or in vivo animal cancer treatment tests.
