Customer Reviews

The Luc reporter, or Luciferase reporter, is a powerful tool used in molecular biology to study gene expression and regulation. Luciferase is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of luciferin into oxyluciferin, resulting in the emission of light. This reaction can be measured and used as a readout for various experimental assays. The Luc reporter system typically involves the insertion of a luciferase gene under the control of a promoter of interest. When the promoter is active, it drives the expression of luciferase, resulting in the production of light. This allows researchers to monitor the activity of the promoter and study the regulatory mechanisms of gene expression. HT1080 Cell Line is a human fibrosarcoma cell line that has been used extensively in cancer research. It was established from a fibrosarcoma patient and has become an important model for studying the pathogenesis and treatment of the disease. Some of the major advantages of using HT1080 cells include rapid growth, ease of culture, and a stable karyotype. These cells also exhibit a high degree of tumourigenicity, making them suitable for preclinical studies of cancer treatments. In addition, HT1080 cells express a wide range of cell surface antigens, making them suitable for immune-based studies. In conclusion, the HT1080 Cell Line is an important tool for the understanding and treatment of fibrosarcoma.
Customer Q&As
What is Luc Reporter gene?

A: Luc Reporter gene is a fusion gene that combines a luciferase gene with a promoter region, allowing for the measurement of gene expression levels through bioluminescence.

How does Luc Reporter gene work?

A: Luciferase enzyme produced by the Luc Reporter gene catalyzes a reaction that results in the production of light, which can be measured to quantify the expression of the linked promoter region.

What are the advantages of using Luc Reporter gene?

A: Luc Reporter gene provides a sensitive and non-invasive method for monitoring gene expression in real-time, making it useful for various molecular and cellular biology research.

Can Luc Reporter gene be used in vivo?

A: Yes, Luc Reporter gene can be used in vivo, allowing for the visualization and quantification of gene expression in living organisms, which is particularly useful in gene therapy and disease modeling studies.

Are there any limitations of using Luc Reporter gene?

A: While Luc Reporter gene is a powerful tool, it requires specialized equipment for light detection and may be sensitive to environmental factors, such as temperature and oxygen levels.
